“I am interested in the space between people, whether it’s within a room, in a conversation or across oceans. Working during a time of such global separation and unrest, I have been considering divisions and distance. Lack of touch with our loved ones, forced separations, migration, extended detention, ideological conflicts, digital distance. We find ourselves reaching out but can’t grab a hold, and are forced to reconsider how to connect with others. Alone we are nothing, it is how we navigate and manage the space between us which dictates what we are.”
